From its first performance as a play in 1904 to its transition into a novel in 1911, to contemporary 21st century, the titular character has continued to be a significant fictional figure and has been the subject of much critical analysis. J.M Barrie’s classical character Peter Pan, for instance has undoubtedly become a part of popular culture.
